Returning to simple joys
My kids discovered hula hoops at our local library one day and had so much fun with them I immediately went on a search for their own. These were a little tricky to put together but not terrible. My kids have loved practicing hula hooping this summer!

Bought for the grandkids. It was somewhat difficult to assemble as you need to have strong hands. My husband had to do for me as I did not have enough hand strength. Lightweight enough for a 7 year old to use. Durable.

Not What I Was Looking For…
I was looking for a basic hoop to use to build some skill before I jump into using a weighted hoop for exercise. This seemed to fit all the critera for what I was looking for so I ordered it. Got it the other day, assembled it, and turns out it’s too small despite reviews and descriptions saying it should be big enough. Yes, it fits me, but it’s not big enough to keep up the momentum; I get about a spin and a half before it falls to the floor. So, if you have a waist size bigger than 35″… don’t listen to the other reviews this isn’t is. I will be returning.As far as assembly goes… it’s simple enough. You don’t need instructions and it’s self explanatory. HOWEVER…. it does take some strength to get the pieces to all fit together as they should. But given the thickness of the material and how snugly it all fits together, I would say that this would hold up reasonably well and be pretty durable for a kid’s rough-and-tumble play.

I put together a 5 piece for my tiny toddler. The pieces are bending bc this is clearly not made to be that small though the directions and description clearly said it was. I’m only not returning bc I don’t want it to end up in a landfill. We’ll use it. But I regret this purchase.

So this is an update to my previous review
This was not easy to assemble as implied yes it was doable but it was not easy. Good luck once you make it small for toddlers trying to disassemble it to make it big again. I didn’t realize that before assembling it for my toddlers I tried to disassemble it to show them how to use it and yes the hoola hoop won. I gave up could not pull those loops apart so now we’re playing jump through the hoop 🤦🏽♀️Update: So Liberty reached out to me. I. Their customer service is amazing. 2. The replacement hoop that they sent me did exactly what it was supposed to do. It was easy to assemble. I was even able to remove the hoops and add them back. I would definitely purchase from them again. We’ve been playing hoola hoop since we got the updated hoop. Thank you again Liberty for the excellent customer service.
