The bestselling guide to forest bathing with a new section of hands-on forest bathing practices and space for journal entries and reflections.
Simply being present in the natural world, with all of our senses fully alive, can have a remarkably healing effect. It can also awaken in us our latent but profound connection with all living things. This is “forest bathing,” a practice inspired by the Japanese tradition of shinrin-yoku. It is a gentle, meditative approach to being with nature and an antidote to our nature-starved lives that can heal our relationship with the more-than-human world.
In Your Guide to Forest Bathing, you’ll discover a path that you can use to begin a practice of your own that includes specific activities presented by Amos Clifford, one of the world’s most experienced forest bathing experts. Whether you’re in a forest or woodland, public park, or just your own backyard, this book will be your personal guide as you explore the natural world in a way you may have never thought possible.

Cool and Interesting!
Wife loves this book. The concept is very unique and interesting. It has been around for a thousand years. Sounded like an odd subject when I bought it, but as she is reading and telling me about it, it is actually amazing and makes total sense. I totally recommend!

Good info, but…..
I was very opposed to HRT for many years. This book clarifies a lot of the misunderstanding and misinformation that was spread. I am giving it four stars instead of five because they really push Premarin as an estrogen source, which is very cruelly extracted and manufactured. Premarin stands for pregnant mare urine. Horses are forced to stand in a tie stall with a urinary catheter 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout their gestation. Once they deliver the foal, they are immediately bred again and the cycle continues. Many of those babies if they can’t find a nurse mare are sent to slaughter. This is all very easily researched online.

Easy to use, covers all the pertinent questions I have.
Learning more about a therapeutic service available to everyone who lives near trees, even a small park will never be the same experience.

Beautiful practice
I love this approach to healing yourself through your connection to nature. I also love that it’s inspired by Japanese Shinrin-yoku, and yet it’s adapted to be included into everyday life around the world. It’s a beautiful practice that anyone can do and it’s so beneficial. The author created the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, and I highly recommend an in-person walk led by one of their trained guides. I’ve been forever changed by that walk and this book. So grateful. Thank you!

As a forest bathing guide in Ilkley, West Yorkshire with Hawk and Heath, I am always trying to find resources that help people to independently find their own strategies to forest bath themselves. Obviously, not everyone could visit Hawk and Heath in Ilkley. This book will help you weave nature back into your life on a daily basis. Pursue the power of Nature by using this wonderful book.

I haven’t read it yet, but the book is ripped and has some sort of discolouration. If you’re anything like me and you value a well kept book, this is pretty disappointing
