These hanging solar lights look great in the yard. They also give off a good amount of light. I have them where they get plenty of sun during the daytime to charge enough to work at night. They are currently on shepherd hook’s, not sure I would hang them on a tree branch. Very high quality components.

These metal solar lanterns are a nice addition to our firepit.The lanterns are made well. They are made of lightweight metal, and even though they are lightweight, they are still strong and sturdy. NOTE: The lanterns might blow over if set on a flat surface and it’s windy outside.The solar top sits on top the metal base with a snug fit – it won’t fall off easily.The lights worked right out of the box. Just turn the lights on and they’re ready to go. NOTE: The lights turn on automatically at dark and turn off automatically when it’s bright outside.TIP: Make sure to remove the clear plastic film on the solar panel so the solar panels charge better.The light is a nice warm white tone – not that harsh bluish-white light that some lanterns have. I appreciate this warmer color.The lights are bright enough to cast patterns on the ground, but not so bright that they interfere with stargazing.The lanterns have a hanging chain attached to them so you can hang them if you want. The lanterns can also be set on a table or other surface if you prefer. The chains seem to be fairly strong – they have held the lanterns with no problems even in high winds.We’re leaving the lanterns outside this Winter. It’s been very cold and a little bit of snow – so far, the lanterns are holding up perfectly to this harsh weather.Overall, I’m happy with the quality and function of the lanterns and enjoy using them.
