squirrel deterrent?
we needed a new feeder… Squirrels had figured out how to jump from BELOW THE BAFFLE!! once one of them figured it out they all did so, we lowered the baffle and they still figured it out! replaced the old feeder with this one which has spring loaded pedestals. We’ll see if they can figure it out. Since the idea is when they jump on it pulls it down.

My family likes to watch birds, especially while they are feeding. We live in a semi-rural area with a lot of birds that like to visit our property. We got this bird feeder to see if it would draw these birds closer to our house, so we could watch them feed. My kids have a lot of fun watching and identify the different types of birds that visit the feeder. This feeder was easy to assemble and place in our backyard. It has a pleasant look and feel to it. It is easy to fill with bird feed and does a good job of preventing squirrels from feeding from it. The feeder itself looks like it is well made and feels like it is strong and durable. This bird feeder has been a nice addition to our bird watching kit that looks good and does a good job feeding birds. Â

This is a fairly new bird feeder that has worked well so far! The construction is solid and good; I don’t have to be concerned about its getting damaged from the weather or by animals. The weight-activated perches are just ingenious: small birds such as cardinals, finches, and chickadees can feed easily, but as soon as a squirrel tries to hop on, the feeding openings automatically close. It has been so great to watch the birds flying in and out while the squirrels stand by in perplexity! The green color fits just right into my yard and is easy to hang on a tree branch or hook. Three pounds of seed allow me not to have to refill it very often; that’s the best part. Filling it is also easy; just lift off the top with no trouble. I like the way air can flow through the design, which keeps the seeds dry and from clumping together. Love it!
