Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

Wife loves it
It was a gift to my wife and she routinely uses it. She likes the tools, resources, games and other functionality of the program. Don’t believe we are ready to live independently in a foreign country quite yet. Could probably order food and find a hotel, however. Like anything, mastery takes time.

Very good language course.
Babbel does a good job of reinforcing what you have learned. Easy lessons and I’ve been using it to learn German. If you stick with it you start retaining pretty good. The lifetime lets you bounce between languages and once you feel you got one down go to the next. When you do the repeat back, coming through the internet sometimes it seems to get stuck. My only complaint. I would recommend to someone wanting to learn a new language.

Better than Rosetta Stone
I enjoy learning with Babbel because it actually explains different instances to use synonyms and prefixes/tense changes/subject-action changes/etc. This is all written in your known language. It gives all the nuances and information you need that other language apps like Rosetta Stone and Duolingo don’t.It doesn’t offer very many languages to learn but if you’re spending $300 on the lifetime subscription, you’re likely super dedicated to becoming fluent on one specific language. I have Rosetta Stone for a different language and my vocabulary is pretty big but my sentences are garbage and I’m not certain when or why words change. Babbel does a great job of introducing new vocabulary and giving explanations of when and why to change a word. You can practice with listening and select the answer from a list of written answers, by speaking, with flashcards, or picture decks with spoken words as the clue. The app has a few glitches with the microphone but sending a report to the tech team is fairly simple. Overall, worth half the price of what I paid ($300 for lifetime after 4 months of testing it with a monthly subscription).Edited original review since I was able to apply the code to my existing account.

Disappointed
Was under assumption I could change language….hmmm

Horrible
This app is a complete waste of time, there’s no plan where you build on previous experience, the voice recognition doesn’t work, there’s no repetition on words you don’t learn. This app just stinks

Started well, became less and less useful
The course was good in the beginning. It seemed a smart way to get going in Spanish. But after 12 weeks, here I am in Mexico with what amounts to a smattering of phrases and sentences, not quite enough to do the practical things like asking and understanding directions, transport, and everyday words. I speak good French and Italian already, so was hoping for much much more utility. Then the course switched to telling me about visiting Peru, foods in other Latin American countries, and more stuff useless to me where I am. The course also started to add terms from Spain, mixed in with Mexican Spanish. This made it more difficult and added no value. Confusing at best.I would ve ok with learning the aoecial foods of Argentina, Chile, etc. much much later. Now I want to eat at restaurants, ask directions, go to the bathroom, talk about every day subjects, vread a newspaper. But no, I am forced to wade through a heap of irrelevant, to me, material. No instructions about how to skip forward.Very disappointed. Babbel absolutely does not deliver enough material to survive before wandering away from their promise to get me up to practical speed. I find myself becoming more and more angry the farther they wander.I do NOT recommend Babbel Spanish for travel n Mexico, or anywhere.

No Customer Support
There is no customer support person, just a bot. If your question doesn’t fit into Babbel’s narrow box, you are screwed. Tried to get answers comparing Babbel to Rosetta Stone. Only a bot with Babbel, on the other hand, Rosetta Stone was wonderful, customer service person answered questions and even provided discounts.
