Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

Handy hints

Inserting the ink cartridge

Step 1: To insert your ink cartridge, gently unscrew the black nib of the calligraphy pen and put the cartridge (smaller opening end first) into the opening.

Step 2: Hold the inserted ink cartridge against a strong surface, such as a table top, and press down firmly on the pen to force the cartridge to click into place. You will hear a click when the back of the pen nib pierces the cartridge.

Step 3: Screw the nib back onto the pen and place the calligraphy pen upright for a minute or two, prior to use. Then gently press it onto a scrap piece of paper to start the ink flow – it should only take a couple of strokes for the ink to start flowing. You’re now ready to start writing!

Using your pen

To keep the ink flowing smoothly, always hold your pen so that the nib is angled between 30° and 45° to the paper (calligraphy pens are not designed to be used in the same way as stationery pens).

Note: Medium and broad nibs are a great choice for beginners because they give you more control.

Care

· To keep your nibs in good condition, always clean and return them to the box after each session.

· Wash the nib under lukewarm water after extended use and dry carefully with a soft cloth. Do not allow ink to dry on the nib as this will stop it from flowing. Once clean and dry, replace the cap.

· Carry and store your pen upright (nib upright) to prevent leakage.

    4.5 stars
Nice set, it comes in a tin box for storage. I got different colored pens, but I liked the colors. There are a few pros and cons about this set.Pros:- Ink flows smoothly- easy to use- Nice ink colors- Comes with a pump for bottled ink- Comes in a tin for storage- Comes with practice booklet- Ink doesn’t dry- For beginnersCons:- Instructions somewhat confusing, but if you go on amazon and scroll down until you see the picture of the tin, there are instructions- Came in different colors than shown, but the title did say packaging may vary.- Practice booklet has thin pages, so ink bleeds through.- Ink stains a bitThat’s all I can think of. If I see any more pros or cons I’ll edit this. I personally think this is a good set and worth its money. For the things I didn’t know how to do, I just searched it up. So if I could give it a 4.5 I would, but I can’t so it’s a 5. Just saying, the instruction booklet is just useless.

    Great for a beginner
Nice quality pens and instructions for someone wanting to learnCalligraphy.

    Great Xmas present idea
I bought a set to see what it would be like having teens to get X-mas presents for. It is a neat little set. The practice book is of good quality, the flow of the pens is great, and the extra cartridges is also great. It has additional pens and a converter. Great beginner set. I will be buying a couple of more to give out as presents.

    Christmas Gift!
    Thank you!

  5. TAMMY

Value of a great set with many pen tips options.
I am very excited to have my new Calligraphy sets. I looked for awhile before deciding on these. Great range of tips for pens and various colors. The price is great for items that are hard to find in the store. To buy Bible verse done in Calligraphy in the stores are expensive. So now with these great sets and the many different tips I can make my own wall art verses. I also bought the Calligraphy paper set of three pads. It’s been awhile since I have done Calligraphy and with all these new tips for pens. The Calligraphy graph paper was a great add on.

    Quality
Price, you definitely get what you pay for here, it’s a cheap-feeling writing experience and it’s cheap quality. For a beginner, this is a great set, however, if you want something that someone will love, I recommend going to your nearest office max or staples and finding the “count” fountain pens, 20$ for the pen, a med size nib, and 6 refills. Ink output is very high, and the ink is very thin. there is no hole in the nib to help with ink placement, but like I said before, you get what you pay for.

  7. Sunny Snow

    Exactly what she wanted
Bought for my sister , she loved this very inclusive set .

  8. Velvet

    Nice set
The cartridges are easy to push in and the ink flows smoothly. You do need to do a quick shake if you let the pen sit flat for a minute, but after the shake, the ink flows smoothly again. I got this set because I wanted to get into calligraphy, but after trying a pen, I might use this for everyday note taking.

I have had a bit of a dabble with calligraphy, so I bought this just as a cheap and cheerful way of getting a few pens. It arrived yesterday and I’ve tried it this morning.I think it is a good set for beginners, because the pens move easily across the paper (even in the ‘wrong’ direction). This is because the tip of the nibs appears to be rounded. The downside is that this means the ‘fine’ strokes are thicker than they perhaps could be. Not as noticeable on the wider nibs, but on the fine ones there’s very little differentiaition between fine and thick strokes.
