How To Use ？
First：Remove the red cap from the end of the probe and open the tester.
Second：Insert the probe into the soil 3-5 inches.
Then：Read the data for about 10 s. The data will be displayed on the monitor.
Finally：Remove the probe from the soil after each use and wipe it clean.
Note：Tips for use
1.Do not force the soil tester into very hard soil.
2.Do not put the soil tester into the soil for a long time.
3.Do not use the Soil Tester to test water or other liquids, the Soil Tester is only for testing soil.
4.Wipe the probe clean after each use.

Not even close to accurate, what a waste of money, VERY disappointed
I bought this tester along with high quality Duracell batteries. The unit looked solid, no damage, good to go. Put it in the soil and it read 7.1 PH. and said dry so I watered soil lightly, tested again an hour later it read, 0PH. Tried it in several locations around the plant and it either reads 7.1 or 0.I feel this is a joke, it only reads 0 or 7.1 and always says soil is dry.So i took a separate pot of plain soil to test. Placed it in the soil 4″ deep it read dry, 7.1Ph. So I drenched the soil with lemon juice water with a Ph of 5.5. Let it soak in about an hour and tested it again, this time it read wet, and I will give you a guess on what the Ph reading was? You guessed it, 7.1I honestly feel this is a novelty item and would not take it seriously, very disappointing cause I spent the extra money thinking I was getting a better tester than the cheaper models and it is worthless, and worst yet cost me too much to have to drive and return it, so I’m out the $$

Little awkward to use, but keeps my plants healthy
I have mostly medium-large plants in pots on the floor, and it’s a little awkward trying to poke the soil at the right angle to be able to read the display on it. I always have to crane my neck to try and read the LCD, which can only be read straight-on. It’s also nearly impossible to press this into the soil without hitting one or both of the top buttons. But, the hygrometer seems to be accurate and it’s doing good for my plants!

Handiest garden tool I own
I have never checked PH on my soil here in Florida, so I guess I’m not really a true gardener, but I have grown fruit trees in the past that provided years and years of really good fruit. I bought this pH soil tester so that I could test my soil out here in Florida to see why my mango trees that I planted a year ago are not doing anything. When I followed the instruction and used the soil tester it told me that my soil was very alkaline which mango trees do not like. So I quickly added soil amendments to fix the problem. This is an invaluable tool for anyone wanting to grow their own food.

Not great
Top doesn’t bend so hard to see when you have to bend. Also, after placing batteries the back won’t click back into place so now walking around with no back on it. I do like the moisture and PH readers so if you can put up with what I said it is good

Awesome Product! I love mine! One thing that I noticed is that if you are trying to read soil pH below 7, it helps to hit the left button again when it sticks on 7. Also, buy a water pH meter.
