Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

What a great way to save water for our garden
These barrels came from Amazon Warehouse so I save a few dollars on what were appropriately priced rain barrels. I had been looking for good quality, nice looking barrels for about 18 months and when these became available on Amazon Warehouse, I quickly ordered them before they were sold out. They were extremely easy to set up using a level to make sure they didn’t lean left or right or front or back. Placing them next to the house adds to their stability. They are well made with solid but not brittle plastic. They were easy to put together, don’t let anyone tell you they aren’t.They are very attractive and well worth the original price, so finding them at Amazon Warehouse was a real deal. The manufacturer has several different options at a variety of price points.👍😎

Decent, has some issues not uncommon to all rain barrels
Issues w/ this specific Product:-It does bulge, as others have noted. They should have just made this round b/c that’s a stronger shape, and the shape this thing wants to get to.-it expands quite a bit when it’s hot. Don’t screw in both sides of the screen b/c when hot, it will stretch, and when cold it will buckle. screw in one side. it also lets you peek inside that way.-You need a drill to add the side overflow nipple. Not a huge deal, but it’s an uncommon tool (hole drill). Also, the flat area for mounting this is several inches lower than the top. That’s several inches of water that you will not capture.-Front drain – if they’re going to make you drill a hole for the side drain, they should have done the same thing for the front drain. I’d rather not have it, but it’s three, awkwardly protruding like a big nose.-Plastic hose bib. come on, a brass one is 5 bucks at the home store, but the models that come with it cost like $30 more. Total nonsense. I expect that this will need to be replaced. it’s also quite low flow, and has a cheap gasket that deforms a lot when you close it. On the bright side, it doesn’t leak as others have noted. The threads aren’t tight to the hose other, you need a hose washer that costs a dime.Issues w/ ANY rain barrel like this:-Hose bib is a couple of inches up. You need to prop this up anyway, might as well make the opening lower so you can actually get at the water that’s in the bottom. I guess if it fills up w/ enough junk from the roof it will turn into a slurry eventually. I don’t look forward to cleaning it either b/c it will never wash out, and there is no easy access to the inside of this barrel.-water pressure stinks. i don’t know if it’s the cheap bib or the natural pressure of that much water, but it comes out too slowly to go very far once it leaves the hose.If you can see my pic of my setup, i bought a 24′ 1.25″ sump pump hose that came with 2 nipples. I made holes in the top and the overflow areas that would fit these fittings, and got a nice long plastic tube for the drain. it also means I don’t have splashing on the top of the barrel as the water goes directly in. i used one of those 4″ white 2-piece diverters. i cut a foot off the 24′ hose to attach the top nipple to the downspout and used the remainder to divert the water away from the house. when it’s really pouring and this is at capacity I get a nice amount of water coming out the side, so you can tell how quickly this barrel fills up. it’s attached to a downspout that drains ovre 600 sq ft of roof.

    Not functioning very well
To solve a gutter overflow issue we cut a new opening at the other end and installed a second rain chain and rain barrel. We’ve had the first rain chain and barrel for several years and love them. After we got it installed, we had perfect weather for a week and no rain. I was eager to see it in action. Well today I got my wish, and I’m disappointed.I had purchased the black barrel, which was $90 here a few weeks ago. Less than the other colors. But it did come with the very cheap, plastic faucet. A hose wouldn’t attach to it. So I went out and spent close to $5 for a brass faucet. OK. Thought things would be fine. I tested the barrel by filling it up above the faucet and the water came out, but pretty much a weak trickle. The cheap plastic screen that came with it had such tiny holes, I didn’t know how it would allow much water in without a big overflow. So I cut a new screen with some wire screen I already had. That worked fine. But, today, with pretty heavy rain, the barrel filled well (thanks to the bigger screening) and it did bow out a bit in the back (not a problem). The big issue is the overflow opening in the front. It is very small and not threaded. There is no way to properly connect a hose or tube to it to direct overflow away from the barrel. At first it was really concerning, because the way the overflow water was flowing down the front, it looked like a cross seam in the barrel might have split and it was leaking from there, too. Thankfully, that was not the problem. I tried a couple different pieces of cut plastic hose I had to stick in the hole. The water didn’t run through it, but at least it deflected the flow a little more outward and I put a watering can in front to catch it.The big issue in a heavy rain is, I don’t want a huge puddle collecting near the house from the overflow. After 25 years, I don’t need my basement to start getting wet! My other rain barrel has a side outlet with PVC pipe coming out of it, that we can direct the water to a downspout deflector and away from the house. They think they are doing you a favor by having the overflow hole in the front, but it still creates a huge pool of water at the base of the rain barrel. I tried opening the faucet and letting the excess run out the attached hose and over to the grass, but it barely came out at a trickle.First a bad faucet, then a poorly designed screen, and now this overflow situation makes this barrel not a good solution for us. At least I paid under $100 for it. The other colors can be much more. I had looked at every rain barrel out there before choosing this one. But I should have just purchased a second Tijeras rain barrel in the first place. I had thought this was going to be a little better looking in the location I was putting it. My first barrel is in a flower bed and is almost completely hidden by my hydrangea bush, but this one goes on the pavers and is more exposed.I’m adding a couple photos – one before I tried the hose trick in the overflow opening, and one of the wire screen I cut to replace the lousy plastic one.I do love my rain chains. They are great with rain barrels.

Light to move and install. Works great. But recommend also buying the base

  9. Martine

Idéal pour nos besoins. L’idéal est de l’installer avec la base qui est non incluse mais très pratique.

  10. Amazon Customer

Its a barrel. It works and looks way better than those ugly blue things.

What can I say? Product was shipped obviously used and broken, covered in soiled dirt. On the inside looks like a rat got in and chewed about the adapter for the hose. Extremely disappointed as I paid full price expecting a brand new product.Bought with the stand now I got a useless stand.

The only thing I don’t like about it , is the all plastic drain valve ,don’t think it will last without breaking
