Great portable little fire pit!
We recently got a motor home so I have been adding things we need here and there. Hadn’t really thought about a propane fire pit as most places have a wood burning area, but granted you can’t always use them with burn bans. But we absolutely hate smelling like a campfire and always have to shower before bed so our bedding and everything doesn’t smell like smoke…kind of a pain the A**.One of our recent trips with friends they pulled out their little propane fire pit and we were hooked! Instantly knew we wanted to get one. Was so nice to be able to sit around a fire, stay warm and not smell like smoke afterwards, straight to bed! After looking at many options here on Amazon, we settled on this one. Good price. I liked that it had foldable legs making it pack up smaller which is always important for packing up a motorhome. The carrying straps that hold it all together are awesome! A bag might be nice and maybe will add one at one point but this does the trick for now – my only complaint with straps vs a case is the lava rocks tend to have some “sand” that seeps out of the flame cut outs on the side if you tip it over too far. So when packing up always have to make sure its sitting flat and not on its side so the sand doesn’t leak out all over our compartments. But the straps keep the lid on nice and tight so everything else stays in one piece nicely. The added cast iron grate wasn’t anything we were looking for but a nice addition. Makes it useable to cook on with a separate pan on the grate (don’t cook directly on the grate unless you want a greasy mess below) We haven’t cooked on it yet – other than roasting some marshmallows. But its a nice added feature to have if needed. The fold up legs are nice and sturdy and lock into place when up or down. I was looking at one other model that had fold out legs and one complaint I saw was that if you tried to slide the fireplace to adjust the location the legs would collapse causing it to fall to one side. These lock tightly in place when down making that a non issue if you want to move it around. Press the silver button on each leg to release, push up and then they lock in place up to the bottom making it a nice tiny little package that’s easy to store away.No heat underneath the unit which is awesome. We can place this fire pit on our rug next to the motor home so we can also be under the awning if raining-which it was. I put the lid under it for good measure but we felt it several times through the evening and there was no heat detected at all, stayed nice and cool. Didn’t even think of heat underneath when looking to buy but after discovering this I feel its important to mention as many other people will be using just like we did. You can safely use this on your outdoor rug.Gives off a nice flame and heat on any setting – we turned down from high a few times as it got too hot. We used it 2 nights and 2 mornings and didn’t even go through a whole 5 gal propane. So appears to be a good use of propane, we thought it would eat it up pretty fast. We actually brought 2 separate 5 gal canisters just for the firepit, as we didn’t want to use the on board propane for this – saved that for heat, water heater, etc. So we didn’t even get to the second canister after 2 days of use. Also has a decently long propane cord so we could set the canister a nice distance away.I am very happy with this purchase – great little portable unit that will get lots of use on every camping trip! Going to be a great addition to our new set up and after one camping trip I can’t imagine not having it! highly recommend!

Perfect for off-grid glamping
Really happy with this fire pit! It is sturdy and well-made, looks nice and works great. It was easy to set up and starts super fast.I love the included grill option so it can be both camp stove to cook over and fire pit to sit around – you don’t need a separate stove. It boiled water in a saucepan on the grill in about four minutes which was great. It definitely puts out nice heat to sit around a campfire, but without worrying about fire hazard. For fire safety I recommend having a shovel and fire extinguisher at hand and placing the grill on a level non-flammable surface like cement pavers or bare ground, five feet around the grill just to be super safe. I would never have had a wood fire with sparks in our remote dry campsite but felt it was comfortable and safe to use this grill.Note that you cannot use it with winds over 10 mph. Also note that the normal 15 pound propane tank sold in all gas stations and hardware stores works with this grill. For some reason all of the instructions only talk about a 20 pound propane tank which seems to be a specialty size you have to buy an empty tank at a hardware store and then take to a gas station to fill. Just skip that nonsense and get a 15 pound filled tank e.g. white rhino brand.

Great fire pit! Works great, perfect for our backyard
This was exactly what we needed for our backyard. I saw some similar styles for Halloween during trick or treating and found this. It was on sale for about $120 and it was a great deal for the size. The 10 foot hose gas hose is perfect to keep the tank away from the group. The fire pit did come with plenty of rocks but I order some other rocks with fire glass for a different look.Overall this was a very nice warm addition to the backyard and I look forward to taking it around to other events. Perfect little fire pit.

Great portable campfire
I purchased this for camping. We often have campfire bans where I live, but propane fire pits are allowed. I wanted something that was about the size of a real campfire and this met my expectations. It was easy to set up and light and it puts off a lot of heat. The included cooking grate works really well and is an added bonus. We cooked on it all weekend and it was nice to be able to cook something over the fire without it getting ashes on it or having to move it around the fire to find the right spot for whatever you’re cooking. It is very portable and fit perfectly in the compartment under our RV. I only have two complaints. First is, the lid is not easy to strap down. I struggle with it for a few minutes before I can get it secure enough to be able to pick it up using the carrying strap. Also, and there’s really no way around this, the rocks don’t stay in place when you carry it and they give off a lot of fines. But, if you are using it for camping and don’t mind some pumice stone crumbs, and redistributing the rocks after you bring it out of storage, it’s not a big deal. It’s attractive and does a great job. After camping I put it on my front porch in my seating area so I can have a little fire warming me up while sitting outside with a cocktail.

If you want a great gas fire pit at a great price, this is it!
This is fabulous! The flame port is a ring so the flames are dispersed nicely. There are plenty of rocks included so the pit is full the grid is nice, although I wouldn’t recommend bbquing on it as the pit will fill up with grease and be messy. The carrying strap that comes with it is tight to put on, but makes it super easy to carry. Brilliant. I loved it. We used it with once regular sized propane tank, and shared it on and off with the BBQ. It lasted 3 evenings and 3 mornings and BBQ’d 3 times. Pretty sure we ran it for more than an hour several of the times, and we had it on full. I am really glad I bought this.
