I am always on the lookout for a bargain tarot deck, but it doesn’t always mean that it’s good for reading or quality in terms of artistry or cardstock. This popped up and I loved the black and white with a hint of yellow aesthetic. I received it and was pleased at how good this deck is! Quality card stock, sturdy box! It’s also something fun and different to add to my collection. This can be great for shadow work, but also as a daily reader! I quite love this deck and I’ve only had it a few days!!!

The design of this deck is very unique. If you’re looking to add a darker themed aesthetic to a Tarot collection this is it. I love the axes as wands. Many of the cards are emotive in nature, the drawings are like the frantic scrawled musings of a tortured artist. Love it.

NOT for beginners at all
Don’t get me wrong. I like this deck. Bit like jazz said in his or her review, these card images do not match up with the traditional meanings. There booklet gives the proper meanings but the images on the cards do not match at all. So NOT for beginners. I think it will be fun to try to read the cards as they are and for a time forget the traditional meanings. But for serious readings I won’t be using these. I’ll use them for fun and practice in intuition instead. And just enjoy the artwork.
