Love this set
Our kid loves it. He used a paint brush before. He was drawing Mongolian, Chinese, and Japanese characters with it. No problem. On the other hand, the brush did not work as well with the Latin alphabet.He loves the different nibs to use on different parts. I also bought him books on drawing. Our son told us he loves the ease of use. The nibs are easier to clean than the brush. The downside is that the nibs don’t hold as much ink as the brush. This is just one of the trade offs.

Pretty, basic set
It’s not great quality, but it’s pretty and is a decent set for beginners before they start investing in expensive jobs/pens/ink/etc. No instructions, which I don’t mind – either you know what you’re doing, can figure it out, or go look up tutorials online. Having had many basic calligraphy sets over the years, I feel like the lack of instructions makes the whole set seem just a little more “elevated”, as the instructions always give these sets a “cheap” feel.The stamp does have a removable head, in case you have a different one you’d like to use. The handle of the stamp is hollow, so you can sit it upright like a cup to hold your pen. The tiny ink bottle is cute and definitely reusable (I use fountain pens and get my ink in larger bottles).Makes a great gift, but is also a fantastic set to use as props/set decoration for photoshoots, video shoots, etc.

Very cheap quality with spilled ink
I really disliked the ink not sealed well enough and having to clean the pens and letter opener off because ink was on them. Plus I had to throw away the cards and envelopes due to the ink being on them when I opened the box. I got the ink all over me and my counters because I was not expecting spilled ink when I opened the box. Over all a bad experience not to include the cheap quality look of everything. I should have known better by the price. Good thing is I’m a beginner I’ll buy more ink and practice then by a good set I can see in person.

I love writing with calligraphy pens and have been learning how to correctly do calligraphy so I was excited to get this set.What I like about it:* it’s a beautiful set and the box was just as great (in my opinion and what I like)* I like that it came with two “pens”* sealing was and then pen holder bottom is the seal* loved the two pages and envelopes – can’t wait to use those with the sealing waxWhat I didn’t like about it:* NO INSTRUCTIONS – this is important for people who are learning calligraphy* not all the tips work correctly for whatever reasons* there is no way to differentiate between the different tips – this is extremely importantOverall, if you are new calligraphy as I am most of the set is wasted because I don’t know enough about the nibs to know if they need to be prepared (I do know some should be but that’s all I know) or if the nibs just don’t work because of quality issues. However, the set looks really cool on my desk. I really wanted to use this set but I think I will have to stick to the three or four nibs that work.I would not recommend this set unless you were well versed in calligraphy. It’s disappointing because the title states “… Pen Calligraphy Kits for Beginners…” but without instructions this set is not for beginners.

Nice beginner calligraphy set
This calligraphy set is fun for my daughter to practice with. There’s a lot of tips but no description as to what they are for. That’s able to be found with a quick internet search though.Pretty good quality and the ink dries quickly.Nice budget set.
