Strong scent
I love the location candle scents, like the State ones, but the Rose one that was pushed for Valentine’s Day is too strong a scent for me. i will be more careful in the future and not just look at the cute names for the scents, but really look at what fruits, oils, and flowers make up the scent. My husband seems to like it so it’s in his man cave.

I bought this as a gift for someone who was recently engaged. The packaging is nice and it’s a very giftable item. Even without opening the packaging, the scent was incredibly strong, and the champagne component of the scent was a bit overwhelming. If you like a really strong candle, this should work well for you, but if you are sensitive to fragrance, it may not be the best.

A Bad Batch
I love the smell of patchouli, and I purchased this candle because I smelled a friend’s candle of the same brand and name that had a fantastic patchouli scent. Also, the company advertises that the scent profile of this candle contains patchouli, among other scents. Unfortunately, the candle that arrived doesn’t have a patchouli scent at all, not even a subtle patchouli scent. The company advertises that their candles are made in small batches, which is fine, except that these batches are obviously so variable that it isn’t possible to predict whether the scent is as advertised. While it’s not the most expensive candle, it’s not a cheap candle either. For the money, I think it should have the scent that was advertised. Overall, a very disappointing purchase.
