A Superb White Noise Machine
Unfortunately my wife has just come down with a medical condition related to tinnitus. Among other things, this problem has ruined her sleep, causing her to awaken several times a night and then having difficulty falling back to sleep.She saw a neurologist who suggested, in addition to being tested in the next week or so, she should get a white noise machine.We came home from the neurologist’s office and immediately began looking here on Amazon. I looked (on my computer) and she looked (on hers). I had picked about six of them, including this one but she picked this one only. She said that this < Housbay White Noise Machine with 31 Soothing Sounds, 5W Loud Stereo Sound, Auto-Off Timer, Adjustable Volume, Sleep Sound Machine for Baby, Kid, Adult -Wood Grain > is just what she wanted. It does not have a nightlight, which we do not need or want, and its wood-grain design is very nice and fits well into our bedroom.I immediately ordered it (around 4:00 PM) and, with Amazon’s amazing shipping, it arrived around 8:00 PM that evening!We have now used it for two nights running, leaving it on all night. Her preferred setting is White Noise, Lowest Setting with a fairly high volume level.It has been helping her. She has been able to sleep for a much longer period of time and, when she does awaken, this machine overcomes the tinnitus-type problem.I had thought that having this white noise throughout the night would interrupt my own sleep but such has not been the case.The device appears to be very well-constructed of high quality materials and its design is superb. I do not know if the case is actually constructed from wood but, if it’s not, it’s the best simulated wood I have ever seen or felt.We are both very pleased with this device. There are two recommendations I could make to the manufacturer: 1) I wish its auto-off timer had options of 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours, instead of 1, 2, or 3 hours (though we have been leaving it on all night – I just turn it off manually in the morning when we wake up), and 2) I wish its power input port were a standard USB C port rather than the non-standard one it uses; the port it uses would make replacing the cord, were it ever necessary, to be very difficult.However, regarding the last suggestion, the included power cord seems to be very robust and, as we take good care of our devices, I am sure that the cord will last for the life of the machine (which I hope is a very long time).I especially like the fact that it runs solely on AC power and has no built-in non-replaceable battery. (When those batteries “die” in some device – and they WILL die eventually – that’s the end of the device, even if it is still working well.)Not that this attribute is too important to us, but this machine has many more (and many more good) sound options than any of the others at which I looked. (Of course the one we use is my wife’s pick.)As I mentioned above, we are very pleased with this white noise machine and I will VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT to you.Especially at its price, just $26.99, Amazon’s current price, I regard this machine as a genuine bargain.If you need or just want a well-made and well-designed white noise machine, I hope you’ll consider this one. I suggested to a friend she might want to get a sound machine for her house. After being at her house and hearing hers I came home and ordered it. I have multiple sound machines. This by far is my favorite. Especially for the can wave sound. It’s so nice and rhythmic. It has great sound quality & allows me to sleep better. The size is perfect. It’s portable. I take it with me when I travel. The buttons are easy to see & use. It seems to be a good quality. I’ve had it a while now, it’s on 24/7 and the looping seems good & no distortion with the speaker. I highly recommend this item for yourself but also as a gift.

UPDATED 12/19:Just ordered another one for a friend I loaned mine to and was expecting it to be used as a fan simulator, but after hearing the sounds it offered he decided to take it to his office and enjoy the ocean and rain as ambiance while he was stuck at work.Once again, I HIGHLY recommend this neat little device. It’s good stuff!Original post below:HOUSBAY – Glows, nightlight and sound machine is a very well made product and I bet it is an industry leader for quality, features and simplicity compared to others out there.For starters, I have to commend the instructions for being simple and to the point. Always nice when using an unfamiliar product.Actually, there is no real need for instructions, as you can just turn it on and figure it out very quickly. Simple device with really impressive performance.There are many sound and light options.I like the fact that there are separate controls for the fan and white noise modes. Classy. Both have several options to get as close as possible to one’s preferred sound.I purchased this because we occasionally have company that are used to a fan to sleep with. We do not, nor have one of those. I have confidence this may satisfy that need, and mayb ween them from an entire fan to travel with to one of these multi-functional units.The individual lights can be dimmed and made really bright.I like the red, or green when listening to Thunderstorm rather loudly, like it’s real. Right to sleep I go.Multi-color changing light cannot be dimmed.The 1,2,or 3hr timer is the key. I put it on for an hour and never hear any more than 10 minutes.Killer little device.It runs USB and comes with a 120AC plug, but have only used it via laptop sleep&charge port. Worked great.Only thing I wished is they could have integrated was a USB chargeable battery so you could just throw device into baggage and roll. But USB battery backup/charger stations can make it just as portable.Good for guests needing fan sounds to sleep, every night sleeping with different sounds, ambient room sound and light, and power outages and camping.Highly HIGHLY recommend. HOUSBAY makes great products that are sleek, subtle and well styled for almost any environment.Great company, great product.

Reliable and Functional Sound Machine
We’ve been using the Housbay Glows White Noise Sound Machine for over two years and it still works great. It’s a dependable little machine that does exactly what we bought it for, helping with sleep and relaxation.The 31 sound options offer a nice variety, and the colored nightlight is a great feature for kids. While the sound quality isn’t the greatest, it’s good enough for its purpose. If you’re looking for a simple and durable sound machine, this is a solid choice.

Great little sound machine and loud!
This is the best compact sound machines I’ve purchased in years. I had 2 other machines by a well-known manufacturer fail after only a short period of time. This unit looks nice, has a variety of white noises (I can do without the waves and rain) and is sturdy. Best things is that if you’re very noise sensitive, like me, you can turn the volume up loud without distortion, crackling or degradation of the speaker. Worth every penny.

I’m all about water sounds & I was able to find one I liked. I’ll likely never change it to any of the other options because it works well to help me get to sleep (I have tinnitus & an anxious mind). It’s much better than the one I’m replacing it with.Likes:- clear sound- I wasn’t able to detect a loop in sound- 3 different timer options: 1hr/2hr/3hr or constant play- remembers last settings used- automatically shuts off once timer is up- can be used for just light, just sound, or both- found 1 sound that makes me happy, relaxed, & puts me to sleep- the turquoise blue light option is like light therapy… it makes me smile (& relaxed) because it reminds me of a childhood toy. I put it on while I’m getting ready for bed. Don’t underestimate the power of color. I almost didn’t go with this one because I didn’t think I’d use the light at all.- it’s made of plastic, but it doesn’t look or feel cheap like some of the other products on hereDislikes:- lowest volume setting isn’t low enough. I have it set on the lowest volume and the machine sits below the top of my mattress because my night stand is low, but I still have to face the speaker away from me and piled up some socks in front of it to reduce the volume to a more suitable level for me.- breathing light option was hard to get into sync with & it’s not something I’d use to fall asleep with because the brightness is enough to distract me from sleeping unless I was dead tired… I’m the type of person that has electrical tape on the appliance clocks because they shine into my bedroom. Could be useful if I wanted to try meditating though…- because it’s USB + wall adapter (included), the plug sticks out further than just a regular one would & I had to move my dresser to accommodate

This white noise machine is perfect and does its job.I use it to put my 3 month old to sleep in day time for naps and night for a long sound sleep.Initially I used youtube videos but somehow they never really worked that well also there is a concern for mobile radiation. BUT this machine is quite safe and I use it the entire night for my baby who used to stay awake at nights even after completing 2 months .It works like magic on her.It has several different white noises including nature sounds and the blue light can be used as a night light.Quality of the product is quite superior and I brought it after a lot of research online. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE.Best white noise machine available today in the market.

There is nothing I dislike about this noice machine. I am a nurse working a mixture of night shifts and day shifts with no consistency. I need a fan running in my room at all times but it wasn’t enough to drown out the noise in the house. The fact I can crank the volume on this machine (and it is LOUD) and have an option of fan noises among many other options is perfect for my needs. And to top it off it’s decorative to boot! It saves from my last settings so there’s no need to take the time to adjust to my preference. Just turn it on and either crank or lower the volume to my needs. Anyone who works shift work and is easily woken and struggles to stay asleep, this machine with a sleep mask will be your saving grace!
