Reasonably Priced and Good Quality!! My Boyfriend Loves It and So Do I!
I bought this kalimba for my boyfriend who has been wanting one for a while now. This is perfect for those who are just starting to get into playing it. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a high quality expensive one just in case he’ll get bored with it after a couple weeks. So whether that’s your situation or if you’re a beginner and just want to try it then this is the one for you. The quality is great for the price and it comes with everything that you would need to get started. If you go on youtube you can find easy kalimba songs step by step to practice learning as well as how to tune it and everything else you need to know. So there’s really no need to buy a bunch of little booklets for that. It comes with a black bag to put the kalimba and other items in. It also comes with stickers to label the keys. You have to make sure to put them at the top of the keys or else it will mess with its tones.My only grievence is that it came uncovered in its box instead of an Amazon bag or Amazon box. So, thanks for that. 😒 It ruined the surpriseOther than that its super cute, and super easy to learn songs. He’s only had it for two days and has learned to play bohemian rhapsody. I too enjoy playing with it from time to time.The kalimba in general (not this particular brand or product) is not very loud. don’t worry about it being overstimulating or being driven nuts with somebody playing it (like I was.) It’s not bad even when someone is playing it poorly. You can barely hear it at all if you’re in the next room over and it’s easy to tune out. The instrument in general is calming and soothing in my opinion.

Learning to play it won’t frustrate you!
I bought this instrument for my son to experiment with during this Covid-19 pandemic. Although he and his wife are fortunate to be able to work from home, it is still a challenge for them (and their children) to observe safety recommendations by staying in their home all the time. Boredom sets in fairly early, which is where the Kalemba comes in. My son plays the guitar, and he has always been interested in learning to play other instruments. So, when I saw this Kalemba and read the reviews, I was certain it would be something my son would get a lot of enjoyment from. And I was right! He absolutely loves it. The night I gave it to him, he immediately started playing around with it, and before I went home that evening, he had learned one of the songs included with it. Something that I’d like to mention is that the sound this Kalemba makes is very soothing — even while the person is learning to play it. No matter which notes you strike, the sound is still pleasant, and it’s soft. In other words, the sounds it makes won’t get on your nerves. The craftsmanship looks very good. The wood is beautiful, and it was already “in tune” when we received it. It does come with a little hammer-type thing to use to tune it as well as full instructions and songs to play. There are also some colored tabs u can stick to the bars which basically just divides them up so that it is easier to find the one you are looking for when you are first learning a song. Each bar is engraved with its note identification. Also, the bars are slightly bent downward to make striking them with your thumb more comfortable. There are thumb covers included which also protect your thumbs. Evidently, a person’s thumbs can get sore if they play the Kalemba a lot — I suppose it’s similar to how a person’s fingers get sore when he is learning to play the guitar. I’m so happy I bought this Kalemba for my son. It has definitely cut the boredom and has given him a new instrument he can play. The great thing about it is that it is easy enough to learn to play that you won’t get frustrated and say “to heck with it.” I think that’s a big plus — especially if you have a low frustration threshold.

Literally the best $25 I’ve ever spent. The sound is sooo pretty. It arrived already tuned (and with a tuning set). It’s very beginner friendly andd far easier to play than I expected!! I’m so excited to learn more songs on it. It came with a little book of beginner songs to learn (which were really easy to understand). I will 100 percent be recommending this to friends and gifting it to ppl.

I’m considering to buy another one as a gift
I was looking for something to get as a gift for my son who likes collecting instruments from everywhere. One of my friends had a thumb piano and I was asking about it. They had a Gecko and it was nice but they had some complaints about it. I thought it would be a great gift so I got on Amazon to do some research. I found one that looked nice and decided to get it. It came very quickly. It came with rubber thumb picks that fit a kids thumbs but not mine. I would rather use my thumbnail anyway. It feels like a cleaner sound. They provided stickers that fit nicely. The keys, or whatever they are called, are curved and if you look at my pictures, I think look elegant. There are color stickers that fit perfectly and they provided key and numbers that fit perfectly and allow me to keep the elegant look and sound. It comes with a tuning hammer, a cleaning cloth, a manual and a very nice carry bag/cover to put the Kalimba in. The instructions are very easy to understand. The price was excellent and the quality is just as excellent. I was not expecting such a quality instrument, but it has exceeded my expectations. I was thinking I would have to spend a lot more to get something like this. The Kalimba by Tanedar is as good as or better than the Gecko that my friend has. They were envious when I showed it to them. My son was very happy with it and he has been playing on it for the past several days. His best friend came over and is wanting one now. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. I am very happy to support good quality purchases. I was asked once why I buy so many things from Amazon. Well, I don’t buy a lot, but when I do, I trust my Amazon purchases.If I get something that wasn’t as described or if there is something wrong with a product, Amazon makes it easy to take care of and when I find a great product like this Tanedar Kalimba at such a great price, it makes me feel beeter to find new products to expand my choices. Good quality sound for basic beginner practitioner who want to experience Kalimba

This little music maker came extremely well packed and is very well made. The sound is not as loud as in the video, but I didn’t expect it to be. For it’s size, it is quite loud and VERY pleasing to the ear,- as all the ads say,- almost ethereal! I received it yester-noon, and played about with it on and off; this morning, I’ve just picked it up and already, I’m ‘getting into it’ quite well. I play guitar and VERY limited keyboard, which whilst not being anything like the Kalimba, does mean that I have a good ear for music and I’m sure I’ll be romping away with my latest,- ‘take anywhere’ music maker! Though made in China,- (which quite honestly usually puts me off,) it ,and even the thick cardboard box that it comes in are top quality, and I can genuinely recommend this little gem! There are endless tutorials on line to help you get you going.
