Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

This whimsically illustrated introduction to movement-based mindfulness features 10 gentle routines based on yoga and Tai Chi to support meditation practice.
Includes an introduction by Jon Kabat-Zinn and a 35-minute DVD featuring exercise demonstrations by Thich Nhat Hanh
These simple and effective practices designed by Thich Nhat Hanh and his monastic community in Plum Village are meant to reduce physical, mental, and emotional stress and tension to help the meditation practitioner gain the serenity they need to return to a state of mindfulness.
Offered to the general public for the first time, Mindful Movements is lovingly illustrated by one of Thich Nhat Hanh’s long-time practitioners, Wietske Vriezen. Drawn in a whimsical and an immediately appealing style, the booklet presents 10 routines that can be practiced by people of all ages and body types whether they are already familiar with mindfulness practices or not.
Far from being another exercise program, Mindful Movements is for all those wanting to add a gentle but physical element to their meditation practice. These routines can be practiced before or after sitting meditation, at home, or at work—any time you have a few minutes to refresh your body and quiet your mind. For those new to meditation they are a great, non-threatening way to get acquainted with mindfulness as a complete and multi-faceted practice. For those who already have an established sitting practice, these exercises will come as a welcomed addition.
Includes a special bonus 35-minute DVD of Thich Nhat Hanh and members of his Plum Village Sangha demonstrating the sequences.

Awesome little book, has added a fun (but still calm!) component to our mindfullness time
Lately the benefits of mindfullness and meditation seem to be popping up all over the place, so I have been working hard to incorporate it into the daily routine for my kids. We can all use all the gray matter we can get in our brains, right?! 🙂 This book is great. I love the small square shape and the hard back cover with the coil bound pages. Great quality and easy to pull out/refer to while going through the exercises. The movements are very simple and the writing is to the point/easy to understand directions.I wondered if the kids would think it is a bit TOO simple, but they seem to enjoy doing it. The movements don’t require great flexibility/coordination/fitness, they are very accessible to all. Even my three year old joins in! Great combination of movements with a focus on the breathing. We normally do this after we do our eyes closed meditation/quiet time. I think it might help them get through that part a bit more willingly to know that there is also an active component to our daily mindfullness. 🙂 Because the illustrations in the book are easy to follow I haven’t used the CD. I also own and enjoy the pebbles book from this same author.

You will probably feel a lot less stressed and better able to concentrate
This is the most life-changing $10 I’ve ever spent. For the immediate benefit my family has experienced, I’d say it’s worth 10 times that amount. The instructional DVD that came with this book is the essential part; the book is really not even needed. The DVD is a *quick* and effective intro to mindfulness exercises/breath meditation for busy people who have a hard time finding time/space to just sit still and count breaths (i.e., most parents of small kids). Despite being busy parents, we manage to work this in at the end of the day as the kids play at our feet (and they sometimes join in). Pop in the DVD, select the guided movements, and then follow along. You will probably feel a lot less stressed and better able to concentrate.

    Great resource with practical application
I bought this book to use as resource to develop a practical approach for incorporating mindfulness for my child. The information is presented in a colorful guide format that is easy to follow. It not only offers specific steps, explanations and meanings, it also includes a DVD teaching the movements as an extension of the lessons. It helped me realize these movements are a great way for the family to do together to expand harmony and collective mindfulness practice at home.

A great way to begin meditation practice and excercise!
My mother has cancer and we were already meditating for about 30 minutes a day, but she also wanted some gentle stretching exercises. I also needed to start exercising again. I had purchased a couple of Kindle books by Thich Nhat Hanh and was impressed. I decided to see if he had anything on CD or DVD that might meet some of our needs. “Mindful Movements” is wonderful, and meets all of our needs. The movements are gentle and deliberate, and the “one-legged” exercises at the end can send you bumping into the person next to you, but other than that, the book is perfect for children and adults and the “Mindful Movements” can be done by children and adults. It’s a great book for anyone who practices mindfulness.

Useful Easy Read and, Good for Children
As a mental health practioner I find Thich Nhat Hanh’s work very useful and regularly recommend it to people. This book is no exception. In fact, I will probably recommend it more. It’s rich illustrations add to the descriptions of the moves making it user friendly for both adults and children. Families wanting to teach their children how to slow down and live in the present should find this book helpful. And, in an educationally simple manner, the introduction introduces the reader to mindfulness in a manner that is not overwhelming. I remain a fan of this very peaceful man.

    Must have!
I didn’t like the CD sorry. The book is so helpful and very descriptive. It helped me and I used the techniques for my clients as well. I had nothing but positive results.

Birthday gift to a 10-year old
This book was appreciated by the little girl I sent this gift to. She wrote to me the following: I loved the book so much. The mindful movement book has helped me relax and appreciate life.I loved sending those gifts, this one and Prince Siddhartha, because I feel young people need all the help and guidance that they can, other than just their parents, relatives, teachers and friends. Books may help give them some inner direction as well as ideas re the physical well being. The earlier one starts, the better it is. Awareness of spiritual aspects of life even for young people, in my opnion, would be very helpful to them.I loved giving those gifts of empowerment to my friend’s daughter.

    Very attractive illustrations!
I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He really liked it and we watched the video. It is very attractive and simple. Beautifully illustrated in its child-like design. Cute and attractive. Nice gift. We LOVE Thich Nhat Hanh. It just has very short, simple words on the pages. There is not a lot of text. Simple and inspirational.

    small lovely book.easily practicable technique.

I found the book and the DVD to be a simple & mindful antidote to the busy-ness of our daily lives. I’ve already incorporated the exercises into some of my yoga classes. People (all ages) are very receptive to it! The only thing is that the book & DVD differ in the sequencing of the exercises, but that’s not a big deal…to me it merely suggests how each exercise can be choreographed to suit individual needs :). Just beautiful!Namaste

Mindful Movements: Mindfulness Exercises Developed by Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village Sangha
