Tap Te Ching knowledge
It took me a year to finally buy and read this book. The book is great. I’m on number 30 of the Tao Te Ching. Super excited to finish. I will be referencing this book going forward. Have an open mind and give this book a try you will not regret it.

Amazing edition, wisdom within!
This edition and translation are both amazing.The small size makes it easy to carry, the hardcover is of good quality, and the gilded page edges gives it a little extra beauty.The translation is simple and smooth and makes the message of Tao easy to digest. It is in fact so smooth that I easily finished this book in an evening, but maybe that speaks more of the master Lao Tzu’s wisdom than of any translation itself.The text type and formatting is usual, but easy to read.The copious illustrations are beautiful and add a sense of nature and wonder to your reading, some pages are even full-page illustrations (see photo above.)The introduction is a short, concise summary of the texts history, Lao Tzu’s life, the message of the text, and the different parts of life it speaks of.All in all, a good edition of a wise text.- JBD

Translation makes sense to me without trying to take too many liberties. Dao De Jing really opened up to me in a new, fresh way when I started reading this. I have a feeling that this is middle way between the worlds of the authors and the reader. Neither super obscure nor “populist” for a Western reader like myself.Original Chinese not included.Includes brief introductions to some Daoist philosophical ideas like the Dao, the holy person, wu wei and ideals for the ruler. The perspective seems to be that of a respectful sympathiser like a historian or a philosopher instead of a Daoist practitioner.(Hardcover) The layout is beautiful. Every page has various different kinds of black-and-white paintings or other designs. The pages have golden finish on the side like many Bibles, but the paper has normal thickness.
