Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

Many pieces are suitable as preludes, postludes, and offertories, especially useful for church pianists. The format is large and perfect for those who need easy-to-play music. Challenge without being overwhelmed is a perfect match in this great book of hymns!
These arrangements are great for advanced beginner piano students or pianists who can read music from the grand staff. The arrangements are simplified, but still offer a full sound and don’t sound like they’re overly simplified. The quality of the arrangements will make both children and adults who want to play hymns love what they hear and accomplish. There’s enough to these pieces to present a challenge. Coordination of the left and right hands is doable but requires practice, so it’s great for those who are learning. Challenge without being overwhelmed is a perfect match in this great book of hymns!

Great hymn arrangements for the less advanced pianist!
These are easy but nicely arranged familiar, traditional hymns for the less advanced pianist. The use of modern chords, such as C Maj. 7 and 9 chords, give the hymns interest and pizazz, even a jazz-like sound. Some selections are pretty much simple hymns, only slightly different from a hymnal entry, but others are more arranged and several even modulate to other keys. For someone like myself, who is primarily an improvisationalist, untrained pianist, they can be easily added to for even better results. Suggested fingerings are a great help for less-experienced players. Many pieces are suitable as preludes, postludes, and offertories, especially useful for the occasional church pianist. I’ve really enjoyed playing all of these!

    Ease of use
My wife is a beginner on the piano and she loves this book for being easy to use

  4. Therese St Cloud

Nice selection, but a couple things could use improvement.
Very good overall. The pieces are easy to play for someone with limited piano training (three years as a child), but not so simple as to be entirely boring. The collection is mostly very classic hymns, and a nice selection. Some of the arrangements are a little dissonant, however, which spoils the hymn-like quality. Also, the book would be easier to use if it had a spiral spine so that the pages would stay open on the piano.

    Beautiful, easy songs- I recommend!
I’m new at playing piano and reading music but I can actually play these! Some are difficult but I’m getting better and feel accomplished on the ones I’m playing. They have enough notes for it to sound pretty but plays in easier keys than a hymnal.

  6. Barbara Taylor

Great for beginners who are interested in church hymns.
I was so happy as a piano teacher to finally find a book with common hymns written for the beginner. This is exactly what I was looking for. My student is extatic.

Easy Piano Hymn Collection (Hal Leonard)
Why oh why will companies and publishers not use the “free look inside” for customers (Amazon offers this). It’s so hard to look at a piano book and determine what songs are in it, and if so, what the arrangements look like if we think we can play. Anyway, I ordered this book, not unhappy, but not completely happy. Some songs seem very difficult, some seem very easy. I buy from Amazon most of the time, quick, easy, and I love gthe one-click purchase. I’ll keep this book, but when I go to song books or music sheets looking for a book, etc., I want to see an example of the songs, or the Table of Contents. I’m going to list what I can in this review for you all.I don’t think this is a beginner book, but I’m not sure it would be considered advanced either. Somewhere in the middle. I learned to play when I was young, and just starting over, so I want something not for kids, but I don’t want something that an experienced professional pianist plays. I also did not grow up learning to play chords, it was left hand and right hand. Now I’m trying to learn chords. Seems too many to remember to me. Great Book, wonderful harmonies
I grew up singing many of these hymns, but in my time the harmonies were all classical. Some of the hymns in this book stay with the tradition, but others use modern “jazzy” chords, and are quite a treat to the ears. Amazing Grace and I Love to Tell the Story come to mind. You may not love all the songs, but some will definitely grab you, just as they did me. The book is definitely worth owning. It would have been better with a spiral binding, but for six bucks the local FedEx made it so–now no more fighting the pages to stay open,

10 out of 10. The hymns are nice. The arrangements aren’t very demanding. The print is big. Perfect!

  10. Amazon Customer

    Love it

  11. Alice

    Very well printed book

  12. Christine Cooper

Whilst the arrangements are easy play, many of the tunes are alternative tunes and not the one traditionally associated with the hymn thus the book is not as useful as I’d hoped

I love the hymns and the book is a great collection but it is NOT EASY! If you have been playing for a few years then maybe they would be considered easy, but they are not for someone who is not been playing for long.
