Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

National bestseller and fan favorite! This humorous look at 50 common North American dumb birds is a perfect book for the birder and anti-birder alike.
For those who have a disdain for birds, or for bird lovers with a sense of humor, this snarky illustrated handbook is equal parts profane, funny, and—let’s face it—true. Featuring common North American birds such as the White-Breasted Butt Nugget and the Goddamned Canada Goose (or White-Breasted Nuthatch and Canada Goose for the layperson), Matt Kracht identifies all the idiots in your backyard and details exactly why they suck with humorous yet angry ink drawings. With The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America, you won’t need to wonder what all that racket is anymore!
ENTERTAINING AND EDUCATIONAL: This uproarious guide to all things wings includes migratory maps, tips for birding, musings on the avian population, and lessons on the ethics of birdwatching. Plus, each entry is accompanied by facts about a bird’s (annoying) call, its (dumb) migratory pattern, its (downright tacky) markings, and more.
POPULAR AUTHOR: Matt Kracht is an amateur birder, writer, and illustrator who enjoys creating books that celebrate the humor inherent in life’s absurdities. Based in Seattle, he enjoys gazing out the window at the beautiful waters of Puget Sound and making fun of birds. Other hilarious titles from Matt include The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of the Whole StupidWorld and OMFG, BEES!
WELL REVIEWED: Critics recommend this laugh-out-loud funny spoof guide:

“There are loads of books out there for bird lovers, but until now, nothing for those that love to hate birds. The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America fills the void, packed with snarky illustrations that chastise the flying animals in a funny, profane way.”—Uncrate

“There are a lot of great bird field identification guides, but after a day afield with The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America, you will never look at birds or birdwatching the same again…You need this book if you want to lighten up your birdwatching.”—Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette
Perfect for: Birdwatching and nature enthusiasts People who think birds are creepy or annoying (and people who love birds but also enjoy a good laugh) Anyone looking for the ultimate coffee table book or bar-top conversation starter Gift givers seeking a fun Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthday, or retirement gift

  1. Jeff van der Zweep

Great book for a bird lover with a sense of humor
This book is a favorite of my bird loving daughter. Would make a good gift. Informative and funny. Great illustrations.

  2. woodland

    Hilarious if you like satire
Personally really enjoyed this book. Stay away if you are a dedicated bird lover and tend to take things way too seriously. The book is clever, albeit profane at times. Actually liked the sketches a lot and did learn a few bird facts along the way.

  3. Nanina Francesca

    Hilarious
This book is so funny, and the illustrations are charming. But … note to publisher: You DO know it’s old people who are into birds, right? It’s kind of a thing. And that we can’t see as well as we used to? The type is teeny tiny, AND in a very light, spindly font. Whose bright idea was that?

  4. Amanda L. Clark

    Hilarious bird guide
Be forewarned, language. But this book is pretty hilarious. My whole family found it entertaining.

  5. HVM

    Funny Book; Broken Binding
I got this as a gift and I’m pleased with the contents, but it arrived with the binding detached and no sign of glue on the cover, which was a bit odd. I figure I can glue it back in myself, though, so it’s not a huge deal.

  6. Kurt Geisinger

    Great Book
Fun to read. Informative and entertaining. I love birds and humor. Thus, my five-star review.

  7. GrayCatVintage

The most hilarious white elephant gift ever!
You must buy this book. Hands down, you need it. I needed something funny for a white elephant gift, but it was also for a person who was into birding and nature. I had no idea this would be as hilarious as it was. The entire family was doubled over, gasping for air, fighting for life, from laughing so hard! It was so unexpected how funny everyone took this book. Presenting this book as a gift created a lasting family memory! The pictures are awesome, and they are drawings of actual birds, but with funny, punny, crude names. The descriptions of the birds is what got everyone. I will be buying the other books from this author. If you need a funny gift, this is the thing to buy lol!

  8. Evie

    Gift review
It was a great gift for the birder in the family.

  9. Amazon Customer

I love this book. The author has a great sense of humour while also teaching us about birds.

  10. Nan Chun Chen

Delivery very fast and quality is also very good!

  11. suzie d

We have this at home, and I buy it as a gift. Very funny, quippy, but still factual! Maybe not great for very young ones because of the language, but certainly a crowd pleaser.

  12. marcus

A very fun guide. Will be enjoyed for it’s sheer amusement!

  13. Jeanette

I bought this book for myself. I loved it, and laughed out loud. Then I passed it along to a friend. It’s not a reference book you’d keep on your shelf. It’s a book to be shared with birders who aren’t offended easily.
