Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

One of the most influential books in the history of literature, recognized as the greatest literary masterpiece in Arabic, the Qur’an is the supreme authority and living source of all Islamic teaching, the sacred text that sets out the creed, rituals, ethics, and laws of Islam. First published in 2004, M. A. S. Abdel Haleem’s superb English translation has been acclaimed for both its faithfulness to the original and its supreme clarity. Now Haleem’s translation is published side-by-side with the original Arabic text, to give readers a greater appreciation and understanding of the holy book.
Revised for the new edition, this translation is written in contemporary language that remains true to the meaning and spirit of the original, making the text crystal clear while retaining all of this great work’s eloquence. It is now set page-for-page against the most widespread traditional calligraphic Arabic text, for the benefit of Muslims who wish to make the connection between the translation and the Arabic text, as well as Arabic readers and non-Arabs learning to read the Qur’an in Arabic. As in the original volume, the translation is completely free from the archaisms, incoherence, and alien structures that mar other translations. Furthermore, Haleem includes notes that explain geographical, historical, and personal allusions as well as an index in which Qur’anic material is arranged into topics for easy reference. His introduction traces the history of the Qur’an, examines its structure and stylistic features, and considers issues related to militancy, intolerance, and the subjection of women.
This brilliant bilingual edition of the Qur’an is the best available English-language translation. It has been approved by Al-Azhar University, the oldest Muslim university and the world’s leading institution for the study of Arabic and Islam.

Customers say
Customers find the translation easy to understand and well-presented. They describe the book as beautiful with a colorful Arabesque dust jacket. The content is comprehensive, educational, and valuable for understanding Islamic teachings and wisdom. Opinions vary on the page space, with some finding it ample for notes and footnotes, while others feel the space is not properly utilized due to small fonts and tiny picture files every few pages.

The smoothest-reading English version, with parallel Arabic text
Of the dozens of English versions of the Noble Qur’an that I have sampled, by far this one by Abdel Haleem is the most smooth-reading. This edition also includes the parallel Arabic text. Other reviewers have noted the somewhat small size of the print, both English and Arabic, and it is small. But at the same time, I would say the print is exceptionally clear and therefore definitely usable. The layout of every page includes 15 lines of Arabic text, finishing each page with the end of a verse; the rendering into English is provided in full on the same page, for easy comparison. This hardback edition is fine-looking inside and out, partly owing to a sharp, colorful Arabesque dust jacket. The “used-very good-open box” volume that I chose from the seller awesomebooksusa was a great buy at less than half the price of a brand new one.

Condition Better Than Described + Excellent Resource
The book was in better condition, than described. I was unable to see any of the wear that was documented by the seller. The only way you can tell that it is not brand new is by the pages being slightly more yellow than if it was purchased new. The author gives important details that put the writings into context and that are helpful in understanding the Quran. The translation is easy to read and understand.

One of the best English translations of the Quran
I ordered this translation to read and compare it alongside other English translations. This translation was published in 2010 and because it is a recent translation, it is written in contemporary English for the English-speaking audience. Even though I also like Pickthal and Yusuf Ali’s translation but because they use Old English words, their translation creates a barrier between the text and the reader. In the Introduction, the author also provides a very brief history of Islam, how the Quran was revealed to the Seal of the Prophets, style or language of the Quran, and select bibliography for further reading and understanding of the Quran. This makes it a perfect gift for anyone who knows little about Islam and wants to learn about it through its most authoritative book – the Quran.I do not like personal commentary on the Quran and mixing Hadiths with the Quranic text. That is why I try to avoid those translations that have half-page long footnotes, thus adding their own words to the Divine Text. Though this translation also provides footnotes, the main difference between this translator’s approach and others (when it comes to footnotes) is that these footnotes only reference other similar verses from the Quran itself without mingling Hadiths and other opinions. As with all other translations, this one does not completely substitute the original Arabic revealed 14 centuries ago. So it is important that anyone who seriously wants to study the Quran should learn the Arabic of the Quran. Therefore, I also recommend Quranic dictionaries.

The Love of GOD
Christ Saves, God is the Greatest. He never leaves me alone, even when I’m alone. Driven faith, Allah inspires me not the man. Translated version, in which I have no clue or point of reference. Peace, Love.

Come highly recommended by Muslim exchange students
This book was given to me by a friend and came highly recommended. I asked foreign exchange students visiting from Kuwait about the quality of translation and multiple times was assured about the accuracy of the translation into English. Purchased (2) copies, provides great gifts to individuals interested in broadening their understanding of eastern religions.

Good translation
This is a great translation, I’ve read many English translation and this one is done very well. Easy to comprehend and I like having arabic and English on the same page but it does make the print kind of small. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good English translation

Beautifully presented. Clear English translation alongside original Arabic text. A treasure for daily reflection.

First impressions are very good! Arabic texts might be a little small for some, but big enough for me. Picture of the book in the ad are of the paper cover of the book. The hard cover itself is a beautiful, sturdy navy cover with gold lettering on the side. Pages start from left to right, contrary to the original Quran which starts from the right.
