Great for classroom.
Bought this as a “timer” for my class. They learned to freeze whenever they hear the chime sound. They also have until the end of a long chime to transition between activities. The only small problem is sometimes the sound doesn’t resonate. If it’s not hit directly in the center the sound doesn’t reverberate long enough.

This product is pretty quiet for my classroom of busy 6 year-olds. It came with two mallets to hit it with – one wooden and one plastic. The sound is louder using the plastic mallet.
