Nice blend of sacred with classical music
There are ten beautiful arrangements in this book. Not knowing how they sounded, I took a chance and purchased this item as a gift for two musicians at home. One of the nice things about this is it includes an audio CD with the book! I found this to be relaxing music for listening. The gift recipient say it’s suitable for an intermediate to advanced proficiency. I’d purchased more if they were available.

Beautiful combinations of classics with hymns.
Love this book. I consider myself an intermediate pianist, but with some patience and determination I find I am able to work on and play these hymns. It is all the better for me as it is helping me to advance my level.

When I saw Meditation from the Opera Thais coupled with My Jesus, I love Thee, I knew I had to buy this book. It is gorgeous! I will learn most of the beautiful pieces from this book. Also, the price was right.

Classic
Marilynn Ham has been writing arrangements of hymns and sacred songs for years and is very good indeed. Some are quite difficult, but they fit the hands well and can be mastered with a little practise. Highly recommended. Marilynn’s arrangements are always interesting and satisfying. She has the knack. This set puts various hymns into settings used in well-known classical pieces and is well done.
