Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

    Absolutely love this book
Update–10 years ago, I wrote my first review for this piano book. (see below) Now, 10 years later, I am still loving it!! I continue to receive positive feedback, even though I have played many songs multiple times over the years. For the past several years, I have been playing at 3 different churches, which keeps me busy every Sunday! (sometimes, even twice a Sunday) Out of the dozens of books I own, this one is my favorite and most-used resource. I love that the songs are grouped by theme/time of the church year. I also love the familiar hymns and the beautiful harmonizations. I would still consider myself to be an intermediate to early advanced player, and these songs are very accessible (epecailly since I have played some of them so many times!) I am back today to buy another copy of this piano book because my first copy has been very well-loved and has gone through several repairs (I have replaced the plastic comb a few times. because of the book’s regular use.). As I wrote 10 years ago….I absolutely love this book!!! :)Absolutely love this book! Six books in one makes this a great deal. But, far beyond that, I love the songs!! Cindy Berry has always been a favorite, and this book does not disappoint. I often receive positive feedback when I play from this book, but it takes minimal practice (I would say that I am a late intermediate/early advanced pianist with practice.) Often I have little time for practice, so this has become one of my go-to books. The arrangements make the songs seem more difficult than they are. So glad to have this book!

    Pleasing arrangements! Love this!
I picked up a handful of hymn-based piano books and this is definitely my favorite. It is far from the chunky chord progressions in traditional hymnals, but not “out there” or “excessively” stylized either. Each is quite moving and beautiful while still keeping the original hymn easily recognizable. The difficulty is great for me… so, to make that helpful in any way… I do not play in church. I’m not consistent enough to be able to accompany others singing (unless its some of my pop music I’ve played many times over-like Coldplay or Evanescence). I can learn and play advanced piano music with structured practice. I’m not skilled enough to just flutter out pretty runs or play based on chords and scales alone–essentially I always read the music to play. Usually, I find music labeled intermediate can vary from too simple to just right to whip through for fun but not perfection with minimal to no practice. So this “late intermediate” level is a good fit. I could sight read it well enough to enjoy myself, but would need some practice to get up to speed, maintain tempo throughout, and not goof up key changes if I wanted to play these for anyone else. On that note, it is a very enjoyable collection to play for myself and I would love to hear our more skilled church pianists play any of these arrangements before/after service or during offeratory.

The biggest volume of usable, enjoyable hymntune arrangements I have EVER found.
I already had volume #4 of this outstanding collection from several years ago. I promised myself I would find and buy the others but hadn’t yet. Christmas came early this year. The 6 volumes are now one, comb-bound for easy page turns and comprise 230 pages of great arrangements of well known hymn tunes organized by season. Some of the most overly arranged hymns of The Faith have found new life in these pages. It is rare to find a book where you end up using more than half the arrangements. It is harder to find arrangements that you won’t be able to use in this book. A few medleys are included and include completely original transitions that keep the music fresh and moving. A bargain at twice the price. Rated at “late-intermediate” difficulty. I see it as a great source of study material for any young church musician of “intermediate” ability.

    Must-Have for Church Pianists
I just received the book in the mail, and couldn’t help sitting down at the piano with it. An hour later, I remembered I had other things to do…. Perfect for church pianists. Just complex enough for a congregation. Quick to work up, especially for a decent sight reader. Lyrical arrangements that don’t change keys every eight bars for no apparent reason. Excellent editing and good, intuitive dynamic markings. The arrangements support the hymn tunes in a way that encourages prayerful thought rather than working against the meaning. In short, this is the one you want. Worth the money. A great go-to book.I hate not being able to test out sheet music – here’s a quick almost-sight-read video, mistakes and all. (Sorry.)
