Give it a chance and you’ll love it
I have two other Woodstock wind chimes that I enjoy, but wanted something a little different. I had these more subtle, lower-toned chimes on my wish list for a long time and finally bought them (both the 40 inch and 24 inch). At first I must confess that I was disappointed because even in a heavy breeze they would not chime very much. However, after a few weeks they were both chiming regularly in only a moderate breeze. Oddly, these seem to have a “breaking in” period. Also note that they are very subtle, and you may want to use these to supplement some louder and more traditional chimes around your yard. Overall, I am now happy with my new Heroic Windbell wind chimes and recommend them.

Deep tone
This is exactly what I was looking for in the sound. A very nice deep tone. Very well built and heavy, not cheap clinking sounds. It does take a pretty good breeze to get to move but no issues that I have found. Highly recommend

Well made, but tone doesn’t resonate long
This is a well made piece, and it is heavy, sure to endure many years of buffeting by the wind in my area.I was only disappointed in one very important area- tone resonance. What finally sold me was a recording of the tone, which was deep and mellow; I was excited to get it, and overall, am pleased. But the sound out of my chime did not resonate for long at all… it was a deep tone but fleeting, and one of the aspects of the chimes I love is that echoing sound that hangs in the air for a moment longer than expected. It’s likely because the clapper is wood and absorbs some of the impact vibration… I am no physicist or sound engineer, so it’s just my ear, but I don’t think I will buy another chime from this company. The sound is the most important feature to me, and this item starts well but just doesn’t give enough in that department.

Beautiful sound
Calming and resonate tone. Has no problem gonging in the breeze. Sturdy product and worth the price. After strong winds, the chimes ‘leaf’ fell off but not a problem tying it back on. Things happen. If you like chimes, you’ll enjoy this one.

I love the simple and clean look of this wind chime as well as the copper color. I chose the 24″ size (medium) which is a great size to hang at my front porch (not too big to be in the way, nor is it too small not to be noticed).The sound is absolutely incredible. It’s not the same busy, noisy sound as wind chimes have. I would describe it as a soft, gentle and deep calming sound. Because of its thickness and heaviness, and since the gong is inside the tube (unlike wind chimes where the gong is in the centre of several tubes), the deep bell sound is smooth and everlasting. There are two vertical slits which allow the air to pass through and gently move the gong.I would highly recommend this excellent quality Woodstock bell.

Exactly the beautiful, deep, soothing sound we were looking for months. Note, it needs a good, strong wind to give off sound, since it’s quite heavy,. This chime arrived faster than expected as well.Love, this chime and highly recommend.
