Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

Absolutely loved it!
These are light-hearted prompts that are perfect to get the creative juices flowing! When I saw the layout, I actually got a second one of these great little books – and now my aspiring writer son and I occasionally sit down and spend a few minutes writing on the same prompt. When we’re done, we read our stories to each other and I give him encouragement. It’s been a great way to open the door to family creativity!

MANY different ways to start a story
This book is great – each page has a sentence or two at the top to get you started, and you just continue the story from there. The prompts are written really well and they give you some interesting situations and characters to work with. I’ve only done a couple so far but the stories I came up with surprised even me! Would recommend for any level of writing experience.

Whimsical little prompt book!
This is such a cute little book! Like most prompt books there’s a prompt at the top and then the rest of the page is devoted to not near enough writing space (but it never is for me). The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because I wish there were even more prompts. They help me bust through that writer’s block and this is the one I’ve been turning to lately to help me. Oh, did I mention it’s cute?

Fun writing motivator!
Just got this for my teen daughter who is an aspiring writer. She is always looking for good writing devices and this book packs a good punch– lots of fun, funny, and creative prompts. Can’t wait to give it to her!

Wish I’d been able to see a sample before purchasing
The prompts in this book aren’t applicable across genres. The scenarios presented are detailed, a paragraph or even more long, and clearly for historical fiction, so they’re very restrictive to creativity. Also, the prompts name all the characters, rather than leaving those up to the writer’s imagination. If I’d been able to see a sample or two of the prompts before purchasing, I wouldn’t have bought the book.

Targeted for children who write fantasy
This might have inspired and delighted writers in the 18th and 19th centuries, but it is useless for today’s writers. There are plenty of better prompt books for aspiring writers.
